My Boys- Another HD Test
Please allow me to brag today. Had some free time one evening and I had Igor film our two youngest boys simply hanging out. Ben is the responsible older brother and Gabe is our baby.
Are they cute or what? The boys love watching themselves over and over on video…
This was filmed in HD format. What can you learn from this? Lighting makes a huge difference. Igor filmed in dim lighting, so the quality is not what it would have been in natural light or even a well lit place. Think about that if your wedding takes place in the evening (and speak with your videographer about it).

Understanding Our Equipment: The Glidecam 4000 Pro pt.2
Good morning to everyone. I would like to follow up on a previous post about the Glidecam 4000 Pro. I had Igor make a very brief video about the difference between a camera on the Glidecam and one hand held. The subject was our son, Benjamin, who was very uncooperative for this project. Instead of running for the camera, he was running away from it, so please bear with the constant scene changes. What else would you expect from a 2 year old?
I hope you were able to see a difference, dispite all else. Feel free to comment or ask questions.

Understanding Our Equipment: DOF Lens
The next piece of equipment I want to briefly explain is the 35mm adapter DOF with a 50mm lens. If you are not familiar with this it may sound complicated at first, but it’s really not. You see it in most videos, movies and photography; but you may not have known the term for it.
Very simply: DOF stands for depth of field. This special lens allows the camera to focus on a particular subject while keeping everything else blurry. Depending on the aperture, we can have a large DOF (a lot is in focus) or a small DOF (objects in one distance are in focus). This is a very nice effect that helps accent what’s important in each video.
This is a very brief clip of a DOF test. David was just messing around with the lens, but you can definately see a difference. His subjects: his wife and their brand new (at the time) baby boy, Joseph.
If you haven’t before, you will also notice this effect on our videos. It is our goal to completely master the lens to perfect our wedding videos.

First Birthday Party//Same Day Edit
Sometimes we get to do something completely out of the ordinary. In this case, we filmed a birthday party for returning clients. Their son, Timmy, was turning one and they wanted it professionally captured. I really had fun with this same day edit.
In any case, we love seeing old faces again

A Wedding Video Story and a Serious Videographer
Good day everyone! I want to share an adorable little story with you. My oldest child is six years old now, and the other day he ended up watching our wedding video. I absolutely enjoyed watching the look on his face as he tried to figure out why he was not at the wedding. It was priceless! He also saw people who were much younger then, family who is no longer with us now, and got to hear all the sights and sounds of the day. I don’t think that he could have ever had the same experience through pictures alone.
If you are still unsure, please take a look at what video professionals have to offer.
Now I want to share a picture of Igor (he might kill me for this
) with his camera/glidecam. Do you see the concentration? It’s great; I love it!
Until next time,
Anna
New to Blogging, but not to Videography
Hello, Hello. My name is Igor. I am and always have been part of the Touch Dream team. I am a little new to blogging, but I’ve been doing video for years. Here is a bit about myself: I am married to a beautiful woman named Anna and have 3 awesome boys. I practically live in paradise; ok, Florida. What else could a guy ask for? I am blessed.
I love my job, but I’ll let you all in on a little secret: I never really planned on being a wedding videographer. I always thought that wedding videos are kind of corny. Besides that, I never really thought about them much because they just weren’t important to me. Anna and I got married really young and our wedding budget was small very small, so we had a family friend videotape the wedding. That should be enough said…
A few years later, I had an opportunity to film a couple weddings with some great videographers. I took it. I fell in love with the art of wedding videography. I began to love the rush of a wedding. No 2nd takes, no do overs. Always doing my best to get that killer creative shot, or that unexpected moment…

You see, the difference in the “videotaping” Anna and I had done at our wedding (my son could have probably done a better job) and the videos we do is that we hope they aren’t merely a documentary or a “video recording”. We hope it will be something you will enjoy watching over and over again. Year after year.
I think I’m going to get the hang of this “blogging” thing soon, too. I’ll be back.
