Andy And Alicia Wedding Music Video// Sannibel, FL

Hey Everyone.  This is been the busiest Christmas season for me, by far.  I hope your Christmas is going great!

Here is our latest music video.  This wedding was filmed on the island of Sannibel…right on the beach.  It was absolutely gorgeus.  Andy and Alicia had the picture perfect beach wedding.  We wish them all the best in their journey together.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all!!!

Max And Inna Wedding Music Video// Chicago, IL

Here is our latest and greatest, everyone.  Max and Inna’s wedding took place in the windy city (and it really was windy!).  They are such a fun and spontaneous couple, which you are about to see.  They attracted so much attention downtown, and they were basking in it.  Oh, and one more thing…their wedding was just simply gorgeous!

Their wedding was filmed in HD, which you can watch here, on Vimeo.

Max and Inna- best wishes to the both of you, and thanks again for inviting us to be a part of your wedding!

Is Your Best Man This Clumsy?

Good day to everyone.  I really feel terrible for all those who live in colder climate at this time of the year.  I really can’t imagine it since our weather here in Florida has been just wonderful!  Perfect for a destination wedding.

Here is a video clip of how one best man ruins a wedding.  I hope this dosen’t happen to any of you.  Take a look.  (Warning: the quality is bad, but this should only remind you to hire a professional to do your video.) :)

Please help me understand why he grabbed her legs after he fell over?  If it was me, I don’t know if I would laugh or cry?  How would you take it?

My Boys- Another HD Test

Please allow me to brag today.  Had some free time one evening and I had Igor film our two youngest boys simply hanging out.  Ben is the responsible older brother and Gabe is our baby.

Are they cute or what?  The boys love watching themselves over and over on video…

This was filmed in HD format.  What can you learn from this?  Lighting makes a huge difference.  Igor filmed in dim lighting, so the quality is not  what it would have been in natural light or even a well lit place.  Think about that if your wedding takes place in the evening (and speak with your videographer about it).

Watching Your Bride Walk Down The Isle

This post is for all the grooms out there.  Everybody knows that most classic wedding day milestone of all time is probably the bride walking down the isle.  The bride especially knows this.  And so should you.  Believe it or not, there are grooms out there who get distracted just before this moment, and for whatever reason are not looking at the bride as she is entering the room.  The bride, obviously, has trouble understanding why her husband-to-be is preoccupied with something else.  (OK. Can I just make a confession right here..I am one of those guys! I know! What was I thinking? Well take it from someone with experience- you wife will not never let you forget it.)

Anyway, since the groom usually finds himself “killing time” in the moments leading up to her grand entrance, it is hard to keep completely quiet and focused.  Many grooms are likely to carry a conversation with his best man or the officiant in a muffled manner, but DON’T DO IT!  Don’t forget that you are wearing a wireless mic that picks up even whispers.  Later, when your video is being put together, all of your distractions and conversations will be evident.  (Yes, we can edit those parts out, but the wife says the grooms have to be warned. ;) )

In the end you will both be happier if you just stick to the plan.  And if you don’t, well, good luck..

Igor

George And Irina Wedding Music Video// Anderson, SC

Good day to everyone.  Several days back we had a mini cold front come through this part of Florida, and it was so refreshing, but  now we are back to just plain hot weather.  Sigh….I can’t wait until the weather cools down.  We are traveling this weekend to South Carolina this weekend.  Hopefully it’s much cooler up there.

Speaking of South Carolina, here is a music video of a wedding we filmed there.  George is from Florida, Irina is from California, but they got married in SC.  Ahh..love really does bring people together. ;)   They had a gorgeous wedding.  There were so many wonderful details, as you will see.

They are perfect for each other, aren’t they?  We all thought so…

Secrets To Getting Great Shots Without Being “In The Way”?

A warm welcome to our blog everyone, I’m glad you can join us.

As a wedding videographer I aim to capture all the memories of your wedding day in motion while keeping a low profile.  I’ve been asked how we get the “up close and personal” shots without really getting in anyone’s way.  The fact is that in the released video it looks like we are in the middle of all the action and excitement.

Two Secrets.  One- It’s all about being creative.  Sometimes we do have to get up close and personal with our cameras, but we do it so quickly and effortlessly that you might even forget we are there.  After all, who would want a wedding video with the videographer  filming  from one place for an hour? (I’m sorry to those who ended up with video in such fashion)  We aim to pass along the excitement of the day to the viewers.  This one is a great example.

The second secret is capturing impeccable audio.  We use devices such as wireless mics to capture the richness of the human voice making it stunning when shown in the video.  It gives you a movie feel, almost as if you are at the altar with the couple.  Even whispers can be heard!

What are your thoughts?  Have you had a bad or good experience with this?  We would love to hear your stories…

Igor

Article On HD Wedding Videos

Hey everyone.   I found a great little article explaining why to choose HD video for your wedding.  If you don’t quite see the difference in HD,  Jason Magbanua illustrates it briefly and clearly, using a visual.

Well, that’s it for today.  Later,

Igor

Understanding Our Equipment: The Glidecam 4000 Pro pt.2

Good morning to everyone.  I would like to follow up on a previous post about the Glidecam 4000 Pro.  I had Igor make a very brief video about the difference between a camera on the Glidecam and one hand held.  The subject was our son, Benjamin, who was very uncooperative for this project.  Instead of running for the camera, he was running away from it, so please bear with the constant scene changes.   What else would you expect from a 2 year old? :)

I hope you were able to see a difference,  dispite all else.  Feel free to comment or ask questions.
