Here is our latest music video.  This wedding was filmed on the island of Sannibel…right on the beach.  It was absolutely gorgeus.  Andy and Alicia had the picture perfect beach wedding.  We wish them all the best in their journey together.

A good start would be to ask other brides/grooms.  Start with the ones you know and then consider joining web forums to get more opinions.  You can also ask videographers for a list of their recent brides you can contact.  It is important to cosider each opinion, whether they got professional services or not.

When you talk to recent brides they will most likely overflow with information about their wedding and the services they had.  Here is a list of some questions to ask recent brides:

• If you had to pick between photography or videography, which would you choose?
• Why did you choose to have professional videography?
• How did you find your videographer?
• If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently about your videography arrangements (if anything)?
• Were there any particular things you had in mind when shopping around for videography?
• What differences did you see between different videographers as you interviewed them?
• What “lessons-learned” have you come up with concerning your wedding videography?
• Do you know of any recent brides that wouldn’t mind answering these same questions?

After talking to several people, you will already start to develope a good idea of what you need to be looking for.  This will give you a great start on your own search for professional wedding videography.

This was filmed in HD format.  What can you learn from this?  Lighting makes a huge difference.  Igor filmed in dim lighting, so the quality is not  what it would have been in natural light or even a well lit place.  Think about that if your wedding takes place in the evening (and speak with your videographer about it).

I’ve never been the kind of gal to talk much about our “tech” equipment on the blog (the guys will tell you much more about that ).   There are many videographers who boast about their equipment all over their websites, but we put more emphasis on how your wedding is shot rather than the lastest technologies.  Don’t get me wrong, our equipment rocks , but I don’t think that that is the most important thing.  But, this is different…

HD matters to all of us.  One day everything on broadcast TV will have gone digital.  And eventually everyone will have a Blu-Ray player or HDTV, just like DVD players came about.

A dependable wedding videographer is an absolute must when booking for your big day. The worst thing that can happen is to spend a lot of money on wedding videography and then have the wedding videographer show up late, if at all. It is all but impossible to find a wedding videographer at the last minute. That means if the person you hired to for your wedding videography doesn’t show, you better hope one of the guests brought their camcorder with them to do the wedding videography for you. While it is possible to recoup any losses in court if a wedding videographer doesn’t show up like they were contracted to do, court costs are expensive and trials can be time consuming. It’s best to make sure the person you hire for your wedding videography is dependable from the start to avoid the whole mess.

The next thing you need to look for in a wedding videographer is how professional they are. Anyone that is in the wedding videography business, even part time or as a hobby, needs to be professional. Contracts are a necessity when hiring someone for your wedding videography. A contract details all the terms and conditions under which the wedding videographer is hired under. It lists the total cost, when the wedding videographer will arrive, how long they’ll stay, any special requests the bride and groom has, and when the finished wedding video will be delivered to the newly married couple. Doing so now will avoid hurt feelings in the future.

Another thing brides and grooms need to pay attention to when looking for someone to do their wedding videography is the quality of the wedding videos the wedding videographer takes. Most wedding videographers will only present their best work as an example of what they can do when being considered by couples for their wedding videography needs. If the wedding video is out of focus and shaky, it could very well mean the wedding videographer isn’t very skilled at shooting wedding videography. Watching an entire wedding video where there are cuts that don’t make sense or quick moves by the camera can give anyone a headache. Avoid it all together by hiring someone who for your wedding videography needs that shows a superior wedding video.
