Andy And Alicia Wedding Music Video// Sannibel, FL

Hey Everyone.  This is been the busiest Christmas season for me, by far.  I hope your Christmas is going great!

Here is our latest music video.  This wedding was filmed on the island of Sannibel…right on the beach.  It was absolutely gorgeus.  Andy and Alicia had the picture perfect beach wedding.  We wish them all the best in their journey together.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all!!!

Anna

Max And Inna Wedding Music Video// Chicago, IL

Here is our latest and greatest, everyone.  Max and Inna’s wedding took place in the windy city (and it really was windy!).  They are such a fun and spontaneous couple, which you are about to see.  They attracted so much attention downtown, and they were basking in it.  Oh, and one more thing…their wedding was just simply gorgeous!

Their wedding was filmed in HD, which you can watch here, on Vimeo.

Max and Inna- best wishes to the both of you, and thanks again for inviting us to be a part of your wedding!

Viktor and Ludmila’s Wedding Music Video// Venice, FL

Hello Everyone.  Glad you can join me.  Today’s video is a local wedding we filmed right here in Venice, Florida.  There was so much emotion; the tears, the looks, the vows (which are in the Russian language)….it’s great to be a part of these wonderful moments.

Viktor’s and Luda’s wedding was full of culture, beautiful decorations and great food.  See for yourself.

Until next time,

Anna

My Boys- Another HD Test

Please allow me to brag today.  Had some free time one evening and I had Igor film our two youngest boys simply hanging out.  Ben is the responsible older brother and Gabe is our baby.

Are they cute or what?  The boys love watching themselves over and over on video…

This was filmed in HD format.  What can you learn from this?  Lighting makes a huge difference.  Igor filmed in dim lighting, so the quality is not  what it would have been in natural light or even a well lit place.  Think about that if your wedding takes place in the evening (and speak with your videographer about it).

Article On HD Wedding Videos

Hey everyone.   I found a great little article explaining why to choose HD video for your wedding.  If you don’t quite see the difference in HD,  Jason Magbanua illustrates it briefly and clearly, using a visual.

Well, that’s it for today.  Later,

Igor

Understanding Our Equipment: DOF Lens

The next piece of equipment I want to briefly explain is the 35mm adapter DOF with a 50mm lens.  If you are not familiar with this it may sound complicated at first, but it’s really not.  You see it in most videos, movies and photography; but you may not have known the term for it.

Very simply: DOF stands for depth of field.  This special lens allows the camera to focus on a particular subject while keeping everything else blurry.  Depending on the aperture, we can have a large DOF (a lot is in focus) or a small DOF (objects in one distance are in focus).  This is a very nice effect that helps accent what’s important in each video.

This is a very brief clip of a DOF test.  David was just messing around with the lens, but you can definately see a difference.  His subjects: his wife and their brand new (at the time) baby boy, Joseph.

If you haven’t before, you will also notice this effect on our videos.  It is our goal to completely master the lens to perfect our wedding videos.

TouchDream at Work

Hey there. It’s been a couple days now, and the team is getting ready to head on out to South Carolina…but more on that later.

We’ve been getting some questions about our equipment so I wanted to address that today.  There is alot of different pieces of equipment that goes into the making of a great “film”.

Here is what we use:

  • Sony Z1u DV/HDV 3CCD cameras (HD footage available)
  • Wide angle 0.6x century optics lens adapter
  • GlideCam 4000pro “The Name and Future of Camera Stabilization” no shaky footage
  • Redrock M2 micro – 35mm adapter DOF with Nikon lens 50mm 1.4
  • Jib1 crane system for outstanding and smooth high shots
  • Sennheiser Shotgun mics used for those long distance or directional audio recording
  • Sennheiser G2 wireless lapel mics usually hidden on grooms

Now here is a little video using some of the equipment and how it all works:

Hope you enjoyed it.  Signing off,

Igor

HD Wedding Videos

Hello to everyone.  I want to talk a bit about HD videos today.  It’s not something new, but here at Touch Dream we are excited about what we offer our clients.

David

I’ve never been the kind of gal to talk much about our “tech” equipment on the blog (the guys will tell you much more about that ).   There are many videographers who boast about their equipment all over their websites, but we put more emphasis on how your wedding is shot rather than the lastest technologies.  Don’t get me wrong, our equipment rocks ;) , but I don’t think that that is the most important thing.  But, this is different…

HD matters to all of us.  One day everything on broadcast TV will have gone digital.  And eventually everyone will have a Blu-Ray player or HDTV, just like DVD players came about.

We at Touch Dream want to announce that we will be filming a handful of weddings in HD this year, and if we still have your date open, your wedding could be filmed in HD, too.  In time, you will see highlights of our HD weddings on our blog.  It makes sense to invest into a wedding video that can be displayed in all it’s beauty and detail for years down the road.  We can even film your wedding in HD , create a regular DVD that you can watch now, and you can come back to get your full HD wedding video when the time comes.

Is that awesome or what?

Wedding videographer information

tdcameraAnyone that is in the market for wedding videography probably has many questions in mind, not the least of which is what skills make a wedding videographer better than another one? Wedding videos only tell so much about the wedding videographer. It is possible to have a beautiful wedding video that’s painful to watch because the person taking the wedding videography was unprofessional or otherwise difficult to deal with. One of the first things to keep in mind when looking for someone who does wedding videography is how dependable are they?…
